Bruins get a much needed 3-1 win in Florida

On the brink of a 3 game losing steak and already down a goal, the Boston Bruins rallied back with 3 goals in a row to make their record an even 2-0 against the Florida Panthers this season. With the Montreal Canadiens continuing to play well and the Boston Bruins suffering a tough overtime loss to the Kings on Saturday and an even tougher loss to the Lightning on Monday, the B's needed a win. Down 1-0 heading into the 3rd, the Bruins needed one man to step up, they got two. Brad Marchand hustled and was able to slip a goal in the net in the first minute of the 3rd period which seemed to awaken the sleeping Bruins and tie the game up. After that, Sir Recchi took over. Marc Recchi not only scored the 2 goals to give the Bruins the lead and the much needed cushion, but also surpassed a milestone to the delight of all his teammates. With his second goal of the night, Recchi became the 13th player all time with 1500 points recorded in their career. The 42 year old Recchi is 1 of 11 players to have played in the NHL in four decades. The Boston Bruins still trail the Montreal Canadiens for the division lead but now face the Carolina Hurricanes at home in TD Garden in less then 36 hours. Come see all the action live and in person.
